In Love and Obedience to God and by the power of the Holy Spirit

WELCOME all who enter our churches with warmth and hospitality,
SHARE our faith and the joy it gives with those around us, and
GROW your church by sharing the Good News of God’s Kingdom
beyond our boundaries.

Welcome

The churches of the Waltham Group are committed to welcoming the full diversity of our communities. We are learning and working to become more inclusive because we value the diversity of God’s world and believe in God’s love for all.

The church is a place where we share stories and laughter, silence and music, pain, healing, wisdom and hope. We also share what we have been given — offering time and money for the good of all..

Grow

We seek to grow as individuals and as a community. We grow through encounters with God and each other; through study, service, worship and prayer.

Safeguarding

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to flourish and thrive in life. To that end we encourage bonds with our local schools and communities through coffee mornings, lunches and many other church activities.

We strive for our churches to be a place of worship, prayer and fun, and being a safe space for all.

Safeguarding is a priority for us as we are committed to following government and Church of England guidelines for children and vulnerable adults and good working practice including safe recruitment for workers. https://www.churchofengland.org/safeguarding

A prayer for Peace this Christmas

Almighty God,
from whom all thoughts of truth and peace proceed:
kindle, we pray, in the hearts of all, the true love of peace
and guide with your pure and peaceable wisdom
those who take counsel for the nations of the earth
that in tranquillity your kingdom may go forward,
till the earth is filled with the knowledge of your love;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.
